Judith Felton came to St. Christopher’s after her retirement from 27 years as a Professor and Program Coordinator of Human Services and Social Work education at Middlesex Community College in Middletown, Conn. During her tenure there, she taught courses in Gerontology, Death and Dying, Counseling, Child, Adolescent, and Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology and Social Work fieldwork. She also collaborated with community colleagues in offering Spirituality and Aging workshops and a workshop on Aging and the Arts. In addition to her work at the Community College, Judith practiced as a Medical Social Worker, working in home care social work, and alongside hospital and hospice social workers. She also served as social work consultant with non-profits working with individuals living with the challenges of aging, mental illness, and developmental disabilities. Currently, in her role as Pastoral Associate for St. Christophers, Judith offers pastoral care and counseling to individuals both within and beyond our parish doors. She also offers grief counseling to individuals and through Bereavement Support Groups.
