As every man purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly or out of compulsion; for God loveth the cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7

Each year we are asked to make an annual financial commitment to support the year-round mission and ministries of St. Christopher’s. This year the theme of our Annual Giving Campaign is Our House. In Our House you will find:

    • God’s presence,
    • a welcoming and loving community of people,
    • meaningful and relevant liturgies with beautiful music,
    • attractive and well-maintained buildings and grounds, and
    • numerous ministries that support the world beyond our doors through outreach and engagement.

As you consider your pledge, please ask yourself:

    • How does my commitment reflect gratitude for the abundant blessings I experience at St. Christopher’s and in my daily life?
    • How does my commitment to St. Christopher’s reflect the relationship I hope to have with money?
    • Of all the gifts God has granted me, what proportion will I give to support God’s work here at St. Christopher’s?
    • How will fulfilling my commitment be a part of my spiritual practice for the coming year?

Frequently Asked Questions About the Annual Giving Campaign

Why should I make a commitment?
Making a commitment helps our leadership team and staff plan for the year ahead. Making a gift is part of a larger spiritual practice of giving your time, talent, and financial resources. Giving is making a statement that you are a part of this faith community.

Do I have to pay my commitment all at once?
No. Many people fulfill their commitment weekly, monthly or quarterly. Some use offering envelopes or set up a regular payment schedule by credit card.

How can I include St. Christopher’s in my will or estate plan?
If you are interested in this topic, please visit the Cloister Society page for more information.

What if I need to change my commitment amount?
That’s not a problem! Simply call or email the Annual Giving Chair at any time. We realize that people’s financial situations change over time, both up and down, and all stewardship related conversations and materials are kept strictly confidential.

How do I make a commitment?

    • Fill out a paper commitment form and return it to the parish office or place it in the offering plate on Sunday.
    • Use this online form: click here to complete your commitment online.
    • Make a donation directly from your IRA: People who are age 70 ½ or older can contribute up to $100,000 from their IRA directly to a charity and avoid paying income taxes on the distribution. This is known as a qualified charitable distribution.
    • For more information and any questions, please contact Bridgette Renaud in the church office at (508) 945-2832.

Thank you for your support; your participation makes a big difference.
