Community Policing Forum: Policing and Race Relations

Wednesday, October 18, 5 pm. One installation of a series on this topic with the Rev. Brian W. McGurk and Chatham Chief of Police Mark Pawlina. What can be done to improve the relations between all racial groups in our society and the police? How can police better serve persons of color in our community? Special guest speakers include Jonathan “J.T.” Thompson, a.k.a. the “Mayor of Cape Cod,” and George “Tony” Morrison, Principal of Dennis-Yarmouth High School.

Choral Evensong in commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation

Sunday, October 22, 4 pm. Co-sponsored by the Cape Cod and the Islands Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Sung by the Evensong Choir of St. Christopher’s Church and parish choirs from around the Cape. Featuring reformation-era hymns including “A Mighty Fortress is Our God.” Music of Harwood, Howells, Ireland, Rutter, and Vaughan Williams. The Rev. Dr. Judith Davis, officiant; Maury A.
